RUM DEPAZ VSOP 6 YEARS

A VSOP Rhum Vieux Agricole from Depaz that was distilled in Martinique and matured 6 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Cognac oak barrels.
It is not easy to talk about this celestial creature, the daughter of a company that is not simply historical, but a real myth for the production of quality Rum, since 1651 in Martinique, one of the first to kick off this great history of love and passion. Seven years in oak barrels for this sample, we can't say more, because there are no words; it should only be drunk. Intense amber yellow color with vivid coppery reflections. The nose has complex hints of vanilla, apricot and dried figs, dates and slightly smoked puffs, together with sensations of pipe tobacco and leather, cigar. The gustatory impact is powerful, structured and soft, helped by a quick citrus freshness of orange peel and very intriguing in the peppery finish that leads to a very long persistence of chocolate.
