RUM HABITATION Hampden LROK 2010
Habitation Velier LROK 2010 was bottled in 2016 after 6 years of aging in a tropical climate which led to a total angel share of 40%. As with all Hampden wines, the liquid is bottled with its natural color without the addition of sugar, without caramel or other additives. LROK - or "Light Rum Owen Kelly" - has a level of congenerics equal to 1062.3 gr / hlap of which esters 350 gr / hlap, a fairly light level if compared to the more aromatic marks produced by the Hampden Estate. This "Light Rum" is a mark dating back to the time when the cane was grown by Dermot "Owen Kelly" Lawson, legendary master distiller of the Hampden Estate, around 1827. It is the first time in the history of the distillery that the single mark with a similar level of esters.
